How to do a Many to One Share Transfer / Merge Certificates
Merge Certificates
In order to merge certificates for the same shareholder, you must do a Many to One share transfer
Eg. If a shareholder has certificate no. 8 for 200 shares and certificate no 15 for 160 shares and you want to merge these certificates into a new certificate no 16 with 360 shares
You must do many to one transfer of certificate no 8 to certificate no 16 and a share transfer of certificate no 15 to certificate no 16 as below.
Many to One Share Transfer
To do a many to one share transfer
Eg Share certificate no 8 for 200 shares and certificate no 15 for 160 shares to a new certificate no 16 with 360 shares. Example below.
1. Create a new transaction entry
2. Click on edit of share transactions
3. Click on the block next to the date of the first certificate (certificate no 8 in the example)
4. Select transfer
5. Click on the new button on the transfer screen as below
6. Leave the new certificate number as the number selected which is the next available number for this share class.
7. Select the shareholder that you want to transfer to, for a merge, this will be the same shareholder that you are transferring from.
8. Click on the red cross to close the share transfer screen
The share screen will now look like this.

9. Now click on the block next to the next certificate that you want to transfer, certificate number 15 in the example
10. Select transfer
11. Click on the new button on the transfer screen as below
12. Edit the certificate number and change to the certificate you are transferring to / merging to, which is the certificate you transferred to above.

13. Ensure that the shareholder is the same as that which you select in the first transfer
14. Now click on the exit on right top to close the share transfer screen.
The share screen will now look like this
15. Now click on the save icon.
16. The share screen will now look like this

AND
the new merged certificate no 16 with 360 shares
18. The share certificate and ledger will ONLY show the merged certificate number 16 with 360 shares.
19. The future share certificates, when you create a new transaction will show as follows;-
If you wish to transfer more shares certificates to the same new certificate number or wish to merge additional certificates. Then follow steps 9 to 19 for each additional certificate.
